How to deal with the America-prophecy of Erich Reber?

Swiss prophet Erich Reber, a trustworthy and very accepted prophetic voice that has not only won my trust over the last two decades but even that of people who have not grown up being familiar with the prophetic ministry, has had recurring open visions about an impending catastrophe that will hit the US.
In essence, as a result of a terrorist act motivated by islamic fundamentalism, a poisonous cloud of chemical nature will occur and move over certain areas and cities, leaving a wake of terrible destruction in its course, „worse than Kathrina or 911“. As this is truly an „Act of God“ on an unrepenting America, cries of „Dear God help us!“ or „God bless America!“ will remain as unanswered as the very cries of the Muslims, experiencing the following overreacting of the military wrath of the wounded US, who will see their cries to Allah for help going unheard as well. Neither Allah nor a „dear God“ who is a distant Santa Claus nodding his naive benevolence exist (read the original here).

Many have asked, what should we do about this?
Hosea says: „Come let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us“ (Hos 6:1).
In his own words, while speaking about this in the US, Erich highlighted two urgently needed actions:

1) „Eat the word of God.“ Fill your essence with Gods word so you have something authentic and genuine to share with those in utter distress and can tell them „the word of the Lord“ just like Paul and Silas spoke it to the bewildered jailor in Acts 16. Second-hand knowledge of God, turning or pointing to religious liturgies and reciting smart quotes of well known conference speakers or listening to the the empty platitudes of TV-anchors won´t mean anything in such a time. Many Christians in the US do not eat any more the word of God. They are amazingly actually empty and many live on already pre-digested words spoonfed to a religious consumer market that wishes to be excited, to meet ever new stars and go to glorious conferences to hear the latest guru, catered for by a religious for-profit industry.

However, all who follow God in earnest need to be full of Gods own words, eaten and digested personally, so they are ready to pass it on to others in an authentic manner.

2) Seek Jesus „on the mountain“ just like the experience of the three disciples on the mountain of transfiguration, until you see and behold „Jesus alone“. Anything that ties Jesus to a system, „Jesus+“, will be unhelpful and shown its place. Everyone needs to personally climb that mountain and spend significant time-out with Jesus alone. Only that counts.

In my own mind three more things are needed:

3) The development not only of a persecution-proof, but also of a „catastrophe-proof“ mindset amongst followers of Christ knowing how to prophetically navigate in these last days, so they are not stunned senseless by calamities and passively watch in helpless congealment how the nation wails, lights candles, observes minutes of silence and resorts to the only symbol of strenght that they have been taught relentlessly: the flag. Having read Matthew 24, all Kingdom citizens need to prepare their spirits, minds, hearts and finances (if not in greenbacks, in whom do we really trust?) in such a way that they can be a pillar of support for those who have put their hope and security in vain material, earthly things. For this, we urgently need to return to what I call „Kingdom economics“, reembracing the clear principles on money and work Jesus lived and preached. Almost all of these Kingdom principles have been systematically trodden under by a self-serving market-shaped church-system emphasizing neo-legalistic giving techniques, „give-to-get“ deals, religious tax/tithe concepts that do not even stand up to Old Testament standards (let alone the NT), or by the sanctioning of the fake legality of billions of „christian money“ stashed away in family empires, foundations, funds and trusts serving any purpose as long as it is not the King’s and his clear apostolic designs.

4) Prepare for an immense Kingdom harvest. This kind of crisis will split the complacent, self-assured mindset of many in the US suddenly wide open and will provide a historic window of opportunity to disciple the people groups making up America as a nation. Naive, have-you-said-The-Prayer-yet-evangelism and frantic come-to-my-church-activities will not suffice. We will need mature, apostolic and prophetic kingdom based procedure to truly „disciple the nations“ and call hundreds of millions of utterly lost sheep into their apostolic destiny. Selfemissioned and immature „apostles“ building their own shining religious kingdoms and hysteric prophetic voices beating the doomsday drums or the voices of the religious right drunk with idolatrous nationalism demanding ever harsher measures to preserve a „God’s-own-country“ that never has been nor ever will be under God will quickly be discarded for their hollow cries and empty solutions. This situation will raise an entirely new parenthood (not organizational leaders in the business-sense) to the surface: broken, unknown, faceless, ridiculously underfunded and completely unknown mothers and fathers who literally raise up from the graves of religious oblivion like the bodies of saints appearing to many people as in Matthew chapter 27.

5) Practical preparations. The attack itself, says Erich, after having agonized over this with God, can not be avoided, but its impact can be lessened. God has alerted a God-fearing person in the DOD responsible for exactly such kind of scenarios, and if the necessary actions (gas masks, air-tight shelters, evac-buses etc) would be planned for and provided, many lives could and would be spared.
Erich Reber has once had a revelation – prophetic intelligence - of a terrorist act planned against the nation of Israel by a fundamentalist Islamic group and God had shown him the exact wherabouts of the terrorists in a village in North Israel. He went to the Mossad (Israeli Secret service) to try to tell them about it and help avoid the loss of life. As it reminded them of the prophet Elisha frustrating the war-plans of the king of Aram by prophetically revealing them to Israel (2 Kings 6), they actually heard him out, sent a team in and, to their surprise, nailed the group before the act.

It might be wise to call a meeting of all who wish to be part of the preparations for this in the near future, and both Erich Reber and myself – I have just spoken with him, and he agrees - will try to make ourselves available for this. Both of us, even though we have not been born in the US, deeply love the people groups of America and would try to do our best to stand with your nation in the challenging times ahead.
